About Us

If you can swim a length of the pool without drowning, you can swim with us! The Long Beach Grunions are a totally cool, really fun, high energy swim team and social club for gays, lesbians and their friends. We offer a supportive swim environment with helpful coaches on deck. Each practice has different levels of workouts for swimmers of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. If you're a beginner, please don't be shy! We welcome beginners!

You’ll find the Grunions at regional, national and international masters meets, however, competition is not required for our members (just enthusiastically recommended)! Outside the pool, our social events and fundraisers are great opportunities to meet your teammates, and make new friends.
